The Travel Community
One of our favourite aspects of about the travel community is that it’s exactly that: a community. Everyone is eager to help out and spread advice to those already on the road as well as those who are curious about starting out. It’s one of the reasons we started this blog in the first place, we want to encourage others who may be wanting to get on the road like us, but don’t know where to begin. Given the online resources these days, whether it be social media, forums or travel blogs, it’s easier than ever to travel the world. One of the ways bloggers do this is by interviewing other travellers with similar interests and sharing the fresh information on their blog, giving a different perspective to their readers.
One such blog, and one that we’ve been following for quite a while now due to it being a great source of information relative to our journey, is Leaving Gringolandia. Brittany, the author of the blog, is an American who currently lives in Colombia. Prior to her move she was having difficulties finding information on living in Latin America; so she’s recently began interviewing travellers of the region about their experiences so others can find the information she didn’t have. Back in December, she interview us about our experiences since moving to Latin America, which we were more than happy to share.
Check out the interview here and make sure to have a look around the blog, there’s some fantastic information ranging from Colombian travel to location independence and working as a freelancer.
